Reba McEntire made history last week by hosting the American Country Music Awards for an incredible 17th time, and it’s safe to say she captured everyone’s attention.
The legendary singer took center stage as the host of the ceremony in Fresco, Texas, a role she’s perfected over the years, including in 2019 and just last year. At 69 years old, Reba is a true pro, and her opening monologue made it clear that she was ready to deliver another unforgettable performance.
Fans watching from home couldn’t stop talking about how great she was as a host, and they were just as impressed with her stunning red carpet look.
According to reports, Reba wowed everyone on the red carpet in a dazzling black sequined blazer paired with flared trousers by Roberto Cavalli, which featured a beautiful lace pattern. She completed her glamorous outfit with turquoise jewelry, including a bold necklace and chandelier earrings.
It didn’t take long for Reba’s outfit to start trending online. The singer, who also performed the “Star Spangled Banner” at this year’s Super Bowl, is loved by fans all over the country, and they were quick to show their appreciation after the 2024 ACM Awards.
“Absolutely stunning as usual, Reba,” one fan commented.
Another said, “You are amazing at what you do. But it’s also important to mention how amazing you look.”
“She is one gorgeous woman,” a third person added.
But it wasn’t just her outfit that had people talking—Reba’s natural talent for hosting shone through once again. This year marked the 17th time Reba has hosted the ACM Awards, and her connection with the event goes back more than 40 years, to when she won her very first award.
Reba didn’t miss the chance to joke about her long history with the awards. She quipped, “Jelly Roll used to be the name of an after-school snack,” referring to the award-nominated country artist Jelly Roll.
She also joked about how, back in the day, she used to get to school by stagecoach, which is now a famous country music festival.
Fans watching the show were quick to share their thoughts on Reba’s performance.
“Having Reba host this year’s show is like having your favorite aunt come over for dinner,” one fan wrote on X. “She’s so sweet & you love to hear from her.”
Another said, “Reba is just an absolutely incredible entertainer; country music is lucky to have her.”
“It’s always a good time and a party,” another fan added.
And one more fan declared, “Reba is the ultimate host.”
