Horrific Crash in Manitoba: At Least 15 Dead

A terrible accident in Manitoba, Canada, on Thursday has left at least 15 people dead. The disaster happened when a bus carrying elderly passengers crashed into a truck at an intersection near Carberry, about 170 kilometers west of Winnipeg.

What Happened

The bus was heading to a casino in Carberry when it collided with the truck. Deputy Police Officer Rob Hill from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) said, “At least 15 individuals were pronounced dead as a result of the collision.” The wreck was heartbreaking, with images showing shattered wheelchair seats and crumpled walking frames among the debris.

In addition to the fatalities, ten other people have been taken to the hospital for medical care. Both drivers survived the crash, but authorities haven’t yet said who might be responsible for the accident.
