Some celebrities from the entertainment and sports industries have podcasts with their siblings. The Zverev brothers have now joined the trend as well.
Many people have discovered podcasts in recent years. Around 45 percent of Germans aged 16 and older listen to podcasts at least occasionally, according to a recent survey by the industry association Bitkom. The range of available podcasts is now vast, thanks in part to numerous celebrities who either host their own podcasts or appear on others to discuss a wide variety of topics.
Among these celebrity podcasts, some feature well-known personalities sitting down with their siblings to talk about diverse subjects. Here is a selection of productions by stars who can be heard alongside their brothers or sisters.
“A bis Z” with Alexander and Mischa Zverev
One of the latest examples of a celebrity sibling podcast is “A bis Z,” which German tennis pro Alexander Zverev, 27, and his brother and manager Mischa Zverev, 36, have just launched. According to the announcement, the format will cover topics beyond tennis, including pop culture. The duo will welcome famous guests; in the first episode, the brothers host tennis legend Boris Becker, 56.
“Liebes Leben” by Amira Pocher and Hima Aly
A sibling podcast that has garnered significant attention in Germany in recent months is “Liebes Leben.” The Podimo format was launched by host Amira Pocher, 31, with her brother Hima Aly last November. Previously, she had the couples podcast “Die Pochers!” with her ex-partner Oliver Pocher, 46, from whom she has since separated. Recently, Amira discussed her relationship with her new love, presenter Christian Düren, 34, on “Liebes Leben.” Meanwhile, comedian Oliver continues podcasting with his ex-wife Alessandra Meyer-Wölden, 41, in “Die Pochers! Frisch recycelt.”
“Einfach mal Luppen” with Toni and Felix Kroos
In May, soccer hero Toni Kroos, 34, and his brother Felix, 33, also made headlines with “Einfach mal Luppen.” On Instagram and in the joint podcast, Toni Kroos announced that after his last games with Real Madrid and after the European Football Championship in Germany, he would end his career as an active player. “And anyone who can add 1 plus 1 together knows this means that my last season with Real also means that it’s over this summer. Over with Real. Over with football,” he said.
“Hummeln&Fische” by Cathy Hummels and Vanessa Fischer
Influencer Cathy Hummels, 36, ex-wife of soccer pro Mats Hummels, 35, posed for “Playboy” with her sister Vanessa Fischer in summer 2023. She bares all in a different way in their joint podcast “Hummeln&Fische.” She is “a personality who is often misunderstood and criticized,” according to the description. One of the episodes was deleted a few weeks ago after significant criticism. Hummels had reportedly advocated that overweight people should pay higher health insurance premiums.
“Sibling Revelry with Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson”
In Hollywood, there are also podcasting siblings. Kate Hudson, 45, known from film hits like “Almost Famous” and “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery,” co-hosts “Sibling Revelry” with her brother Oliver, 47, who is also an actor. According to the official description, they aim to explore “the sibling bond, family dynamics, the human mind, and much more.”
Bill and Tom Kaulitz give “Senf aus Hollywood”
A glimpse behind the scenes of life in the dream factory is also available in German in “Kaulitz Hills – Senf aus Hollywood.” The 34-year-old Tokio Hotel twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz discuss current events and share stories from their private lives. “We are incredibly excited about our joint brothers’ podcast, where we can spread our opinions uninvited every week,” Bill announced the Spotify podcast in September 2021.
“New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce”
Travis Kelce, 34, is probably best known as the boyfriend of megastar Taylor Swift, 34. However, he is also an American football star and podcaster. Together with his brother Jason Kelce, 36, also a former NFL star, he hosts “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce.” The podcast covers more than just sports. He shared in one episode that it was “an absolute pleasure” to meet Prince William, 42, and his children Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, 9, during his girlfriend’s “The Eras Tour,” expressing particular admiration for Charlotte, whom he called a “superstar.”
