Duchess Meghan is reportedly boiling with rage at her father-in-law. While she is trying to advance her new lifestyle brand, King Charles continues to promote his own products undeterred.
It has been about six years since the memorable day when King Charles, 75, walked Duchess Meghan, 42, then Meghan Markle, down the aisle to marry Prince Harry, 39. Since then, much has happened, and the relationship between the American and her lover’s family has hit rock bottom. She is now reportedly accusing her father-in-law of trying to sabotage her career efforts.
Duchess Meghan Annoyed by “Royal Rival”
In the spring, the Duchess of Sussex surprised with the soft launch of her new lifestyle brand “American Riviera Orchard.” The official launch date is still unknown, but Meghan is already heavily promoting and sending products from her new company – including fine jams – to prominent friends and influencers.
Many thousands of miles away, King Charles is also promoting jams and his latest product from the Highgrove Royal Estate – an organic honey for around £25 (about €30) per 350 grams. The Highgrove Shop sells a range of preserves and culinary products, including small gifts and souvenirs inspired by the monarch’s personal interests and his beautiful garden.
For Meghan, it seems no coincidence that Charles is releasing his luxury honey around the same time she is launching her jam. “She is trying to establish herself as a lifestyle mogul, but now she’s competing with a royal rival,” a source told the Australian magazine “New Idea.” “She had no idea, and now suddenly, as she sees it, there is a flood of his products on the market.”
Meghan is “About to Call Charles Because of the Conflict”
Both Meghan’s team and the monarch’s staff are anything but idle. Just a few days ago, they launched a cologne called “Highgrove Splash Luxury Cologne.” A 100-milliliter bottle costs £135 (about €160) and can be purchased through the Highgrove Shop. Charles’ daughter-in-law is reportedly “not amused” by this, as it is believed that she also has long-term plans to develop a men’s grooming line. “She is about to call Charles because of the conflict, but Prince Harry is holding her back,” the insider reports.
It is clear that the 75-year-old does not intend to anger his son’s wife. For many years, he has been selling high-quality products under both the Highgrove and Duchy Organic labels, with proceeds going to charities he supports. However, Meghan reportedly remains unconvinced. She believes that Charles is promoting his new products so strongly that “nothing can convince her that this is not a deliberate attempt to hinder her success.”
