Gordon Ramsay, the fiery and famous English chef, is known around the world for his incredible cooking skills and intense personality. But recently, he’s been sharing a more personal side of his life—his experience of becoming a father for the sixth time!
Just this past weekend, Ramsay attended the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Las Vegas, and while there, he excitedly talked about the newest addition to his family, a baby boy named Jesse James.
At 57 years old, Ramsay joked about being an older dad, saying, “It’s extraordinary—just blessed. I’m sure I’ll be the oldest dad at the school drop-off, so I’ll wear my spectacles and a cap!”
Earlier this month, Ramsay and his wife, Tana, welcomed little Jesse James into the world, weighing a healthy seven pounds and ten ounces. Overjoyed, Ramsay shared photos of his new son on social media, proudly stating, “3 boys, 3 girls…done.”
Tana also took to social media to announce their son’s birth, expressing both relief and joy: “It’s been a nerve-wracking nine months, but we’ve made it, and we’ve been blessed with this little bundle. We adore you so much, Jesse James Ramsay.”
However, the journey to this happy moment wasn’t without its challenges. Back in 2016, the couple faced a heartbreaking loss when Tana miscarried at five months. Ramsay opened up about that difficult time, saying, “We had a devastating weekend as Tana sadly miscarried our son at five months.” He also expressed deep gratitude for the support they received from the public during that tough period.
Four years later, in 2020, Tana spoke out about the experience during an interview, particularly in response to Chrissy Teigen’s public discussion of her own miscarriage. Tana praised Chrissy’s bravery, saying, “I found it very emotional, and I thought she was amazing. A lot of what she went through felt very similar to my experience.”
Reflecting on her own loss, Tana shared how difficult it was when people didn’t acknowledge what had happened. “It was really hard when people would talk to me and not bring it up, as if it never happened,” she said.
“All I wanted to do was talk about it with friends, family, and anyone who asked. It’s a hard experience—you go from having a baby kicking inside you to suddenly, it’s not there.”
She also spoke about how supportive Gordon was throughout the ordeal. “Gordon was amazing. He’s always been good at talking things out and never made me feel like we shouldn’t talk about it,” she added.
In September 2023, Gordon Ramsay reflected on the loss of their son in 2016, whom they had named Rocky. He described how deeply it affected their family, saying, “It was very difficult to lose Rocky. There’s no book or movie that can help you get over that loss.”
Ramsay explained how the experience had been “life-changing,” noting that they went from celebrating their baby’s health one day to receiving devastating news the next. “It all happened in one day,” he said, emphasizing that the tragedy brought their family even closer together.
Despite the heartbreak, the Ramsays were blessed with their fifth child, Oscar, in 2019. And now, in 2023, with the arrival of Jesse James, they’ve joyfully declared that their family is complete!
