Mom responds to backlash after photo breastfeeding toddler

The debate about whether women should be able to breastfeed in public has been around for a long time, and it’s still a hot topic today. Recently, a young mother named Trinati stepped into the spotlight to share her story, and she’s not afraid to speak her mind—even if it means upsetting some people along the way.

Let’s dive into her inspiring journey!

Trinati is a proud mom who believes that when a baby is hungry, they need to eat—no matter where they are. She breastfeeds her 17-month-old daughter, and she does it with confidence, even in public places.

While some moms might feel shy about nursing in front of others, Trinati stands firm in her belief that breastfeeding is natural and should be accepted everywhere.

However, not everyone around her feels the same way. Trinati often gets strange looks from people when she breastfeeds in public, and sometimes store employees have even suggested she move to a broom closet to be “more comfortable.”

But Trinati knows that a broom closet is not an ideal place for feeding her baby, and she decided to take a stand.

In a powerful moment, she had her son take a picture of her breastfeeding her daughter at Costco. She explained, “I never shy away from providing my children with what they may need from me based on our surroundings.” This photo was not just a snapshot; it was a statement about the importance of breastfeeding in public.

Despite her strong stance, Trinati faces questions from friends and family who don’t understand her commitment. They often ask, “How long are you going to do ‘that’ for?”

To which she confidently replies, “As long as she needs me to!” Sometimes, they even joke that she might be breastfeeding her daughter until kindergarten, but Trinati doesn’t let these comments get to her.

She is fed up with people sexualizing breastfeeding and judging her for it. In a bold interview, she said, “Really? Have you SEEN breastfeeding breasts? My nipples are very far from looking like something someone may fantasize about! Ha!” She continued, “These are basically udders right now.

Get over yourself! I’m not trying to steal your man or lady with these bad girls! To me, they have become so far from feeling like a sexual part of my body. Right now they belong to my child for nourishment, both physically and emotionally.”

Trinati wants to raise awareness that breastfeeding is about nourishing a child, not something sexual. “I don’t expect all men or those who have never breastfed to understand the ways in which mothers have the endurance to deal with nipple-pinching or straight-up acrobatics while breastfeeding,” she shared.

She has received many strange looks and awkward giggles when people see her 1.5-year-old standing on her lap while nursing—even sometimes balancing on one leg!

To help normalize breastfeeding in public, Trinati shared her Costco photo on social media. She said, “I had my son take that photo of us in Costco because I never want to forget (and [I want to] show my daughter in the future) the lengths we, as mothers, will go to when ensuring our kids are well looked after no matter the situation.”

In her Instagram post, she wrote, “My baby’s needs come waaaaaay before anyone else’s attempts to make me feel inappropriate for this sometimes-public act of nourishing and/or comforting my children.” Trinati wants her children to know that they are her top priority, no matter what others think.

“Trust is a fundamental tool for developing healthy relationships, and it begins with the care that we receive in childhood,” she explained. “For me, breastfeeding demonstrates this to my children, and for this reason, I will never feel shame for allowing a baby of mine to do this with me in any environment.”

Trinati’s story is a powerful reminder that breastfeeding is a natural act, and it deserves to be accepted and celebrated everywhere. She is bravely standing up for her beliefs, and her journey serves as an inspiration to many other mothers out there. What do you think about Trinati’s story? 1. Nothing wrong with breastfeeding in public. Most women who breastfeed are still MORE COVERED than the women to run around with as much showing as they can legally get away with and the only part “covered” is just the nipple of their breast, A baby nursing covers MORE than just the nipple. Women really need to get over finding fault with seeing a MOTHER nursing her child in public. The women who complain should just stop, that mother is feeding her child, she is NOT trying to show off her boobs like many women do with just strings covering their breast and bottoms when from behind the look like NOTHING is covering them at all, yet to complain about a nursing mother in public is so very hypocritical.
