“Like Random Shells – Similar but Not the Same” – Nelly Furtado on Her Album
How she selected these tracks, Nelly Furtado herself cannot precisely describe: “My ADHD doesn’t always allow me to methodically organize my creations,” she writes on Instagram. “So it’s hard to explain how we chose 14 songs that magically made it to the top.”
The songs simply came together naturally because they belong to the same kind. “A bit like random shells that are similar but not the same at all.” With the songs, she wants to “create portals that you can stumble through, liberate yourself, and escape,” Furtado continues.
For the singer, music is an essential part of her daily life. “My brain doesn’t function at all without music,” she jokes at the end of the post. The new album is expected to be available from September. As a little preview, she has already uploaded the track “Corazón” on YouTube yesterday.
