PRINCE LOUIS: Fans Demand “Justice” for the Youngest Royal

For many royal fans, Prince Louis is a real highlight. Why was the young royal missing at Wimbledon and the Euro 2024 final?

It was a particularly sporty weekend for the Prince and Princess of Wales: On Sunday afternoon, July 14, 2024, Catherine, Princess of Wales, 42, attended the men’s final at Wimbledon with her daughter Princess Charlotte, 9, and in the evening, Prince William, 42, and their son Prince George, 10, cheered on the English national football team at the Euro 2024 final against Spain at the Berlin Olympic Stadium. But one member of the heir’s family was missing at both major sporting events: Prince Louis, 6, the youngest child of Kate and William.

Royal Fans Demand “Justice for Prince Louis”

With his cheeky and funny appearances at various royal events, six-year-old Louis has become a real fan favorite in recent years. When he is absent from an event, it is noticeable. Naturally, this was the case when his two older siblings attended two of the year’s biggest sporting events. Royal fans are now jokingly demanding “justice for Prince Louis.” One user noted that he was also absent from the Taylor Swift concert in London, while his siblings attended with their father William.

One X user shared a video of a boy dancing wildly in a living room and wrote: “Princess Charlotte: at the Wimbledon final, Prince George: at the Euro 2024 final, Prince Louis: home alone.” Another user wrote: “I feel sorry for Prince Louis. Charlotte is with her mom at Wimbledon, George at the Euro final with his dad, and Louis, aka the family personality, is sitting at home with someone.”

Why Was Prince Louis Absent?

Prince Louis last made a public appearance at “Trooping the Colour,” the annual birthday parade for King Charles, 75, in mid-June on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

In 2023, Catherine, Princess of Wales, revealed that Prince Louis was “very sad” to miss the men’s final at Wimbledon. At that time, Kate and William sat in the Royal Box with Charlotte and George. It is unclear why the young royal did not attend the tennis tournament this time either. One possible reason: For Kate, it was only her second public appearance of 2024, as the Princess of Wales announced in March that she had been diagnosed with cancer. The Euro final in Berlin, on the other hand, took place at 9 PM, which might have been too late for six-year-old Louis – even though he has been on summer vacation since last week.

However, my primary goal is to advocate for strengthening awareness about animal welfare.
