The British magazine “Tatler” has named the best-dressed Brit of the year 2024—and the choice is surprising.
Once mocked by the press and public for her fashion sense—remember the beige fascinator hat she wore to Prince William and Princess Kate’s wedding in 2011—Princess Beatrice, 35, has come a long way. Now, the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) tops the list of the best-dressed Britons of 2024. This week, the British magazine “Tatler” crowned Beatrice as the “Style Queen.”
Princess Beatrice is considered a style icon
Princess Beatrice is now a “beacon of fashionable elegance, combining vintage-inspired cuts with fresh runway glamour.” She is the “epitome of contemporary splendor.”
Fans are pleased with the choice: “It’s wonderful to see Princess Beatrice at number one! She was unfairly criticized or mocked for her appearance in the past, but I always thought she was so stylish and beautiful,” wrote one user on Instagram. Another user believes Kate, 42, should be included in the list: “She broke the internet with just her two appearances this year.”
According to “Tatler,” these celebrities are the best-dressed Britons
“Tatler” awarded second place on the list to British fashion designer Jade Holland Cooper, 37, with third place going to Beckham offspring Cruz Beckham, 19. He is a new face of London Fashion Week with his “sporty-luxurious silhouettes and the cut of a rock star.”
Beatrice is not the only aristocrat on this list: “Tatler” places aristocrat son Lord William Gordon-Lennox, 27, at fourth place, and Annabel Elliot, 75, the sister of Queen Camilla, 76, at fifth place. Also in the top 10 are fashion designer Anu Hinduja, model and WAG Sasha Attwood, 28, Lucy van Straubenzee, 36, footballer Ben Chilwell, 27, and Victoria Starmer, 49, wife of the new British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, 61.
