Currently, Catherine, Princess of Wales, is on her summer break and vacationing with her family. However, she returns for certain announcements, especially when she has a significant achievement to share.
It’s her passion project: in collaboration with the “Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood,” Catherine, Princess of Wales, 42, works on the “Shaping Us” campaign. As the British palace informs on its website, the mother of three is committed to promoting “public understanding of the critical importance of the first five years of a child’s life.” On July 25, 2024, Kate can celebrate a new success of “Shaping Us.” This is announced by Kensington Palace on Instagram and X.
Princess of Wales: Kate Celebrates Milestone with “Shaping Us”
“Today, we are pleased to announce the launch of the Baby Bank Alliance, a community of over 300 baby banks that provide families, babies, and children across the UK with essential supplies and clothing for their well-being,” writes the Princess of Wales in an Instagram story and a post on X.

The Baby Banks are “voluntary organizations that provide vital support to families in local communities,” explains the Alliance on its homepage. The assistance offered varies by baby bank: some support families with children up to five years old, while others offer help until the children are 16. In addition to material products donated to and distributed by baby banks, the organizations also provide a space for people to connect, “check on emotional well-being, and point to additional available help.” With the newly established Baby Bank Alliance, the organizers aim to “raise awareness of baby banks and their important work by supporting families with essential items for their children.”
Sweet Reminder of a Joint Engagement by Catherine and Charlotte
This development is naturally welcomed and celebrated by the Princess of Wales and the “Centre for Early Childhood.” On Instagram, Kate’s foundation recalls her numerous visits to baby banks across the UK. They also emphasize the importance of these support services: “Our relationships, experiences, and environment in the early years lay the foundation for the rest of our lives. Supporting parents and caregivers doing their best to provide for their families under incredibly difficult circumstances is crucial and can be life-changing.”
The foundation shares several photos of Kate at these engagements. The Princess of Wales appears engaged and actively involved in the work of the various baby banks she visited. The last photo is especially adorable: it shows the 42-year-old alongside Princess Charlotte, 9. In December 2023, the Princess of Wales visited a baby bank in Maidenhead with her three children. Charlotte, Prince George, 11, and Prince Louis, 6, helped their mom and the local organization pack Christmas gifts.
By including a photo from this visit in the current post, Catherine and the “Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood” highlight once again the significance her family holds for her – both in private and professional life.
