Last week, Taylor Swift fought her way back to the top of the charts. This time, she only made it to third place.
Deep Purple dethrone Taylor Swift, 34! The British rock legends can claim the top spot on the Official German Album Charts, compiled by GfK Entertainment, with their new album “=1.” This is the tenth number-one album for the rockers. With Stray Kids debuting at number two with “Ate,” Swift’s album “The Tortured Poets Department” drops to third place. The megastar had secured the top position with the album just last week.
A New Record for Taylor Swift
For Swift, who is currently touring Germany with “The Eras Tour” and will perform in Munich on July 27 and 28, it is still a successful week on the charts. The US singer even sets a new record. According to a press release, she now has eleven albums listed simultaneously, a feat no other female artist has achieved before. Meanwhile, German rapper Kool Savas, 49, debuts at number four with the “Rap Genius – EP.” Olivia Rodrigo, 21, makes a significant leap: her album “Guts” rises from 82 to number five.
There is also movement in the Top Five of the Singles Chart. While Ayliva and Apache 207 hold steady at number one with “Wunder,” Luciano and Jazeek debut at number two with “Starboy.” Artemas is pushed from three to four with “I Like The Way You Kiss Me,” while Ayliva enters at number three with “Nein!” The fifth spot goes to the reissue of “$oho Bani, Ericson, and Herbert Grönemeyer’s “Zeit, dass sich was dreht.”
