What happened last night was because she had a falling out with a business partner and was left stranded. She didn’t know where to turn.”
Greg stood in stunned silence, processing the news. He hadn’t known how much Lily had suffered.
The man handed Greg an envelope, his eyes filled with respect. “Lily wanted to repay your kindness,” he said. “She set up a scholarship fund for your children and included extra support for your family. She wants to make sure your kids have the future you dreamed of.”
Greg’s hands trembled as he opened the envelope. Inside was an amount of money far beyond what he had ever imagined. Enough to secure Jamie and Alex’s education—and more. Greg was speechless, his eyes filling with tears as the weight of what had just happened hit him.
The man smiled warmly, adding, “Sometimes, a small act of kindness can be worth more than all the wealth in the world.”
As the limousine drove away, Diana pulled Greg into a tight embrace. Both of them were overwhelmed with gratitude. They had given something small, yet it had come back in ways they never could have imagined.
