She was called a real-life barbie.

Aira’s stunning, doll-like features were noticed when she was just two years old. Her beauty was so striking that it didn’t take long for the modeling world to spot her. Her parents, eager for her to be in the spotlight, quickly took her to a modeling agency. They dreamed of the world seeing their daughter’s perfect looks.

It wasn’t long before Aira became a sensation. Her face appeared on everything from billboards to magazines, and her career took off at lightning speed. But as her career skyrocketed, Aira’s childhood began to disappear. While other kids were at school and having playdates, Aira was always in front of the camera. Her life was all about photo shoots and being at events, leaving her little time for anything else.

Her parents, caught up in the excitement, didn’t realize the toll it was taking on her. Aira never got to experience what it was like to go to school, make friends, or play like other children. She was always working. As she grew older, her once-perfect, doll-like features began to fade, and the modeling agencies that once loved her no longer called. The fame she had enjoyed was slowly slipping away.

Now a teenager, Aira’s life is vastly different from the one she had as a child star. She frequently shares moments from her personal life on social media, but interestingly, she has removed most of her modeling past from the internet. It seems as though she wants to erase those memories, as if she doesn’t want to remember the time when she was in the spotlight.

Aira’s story serves as a reminder of how fame, especially at a young age, can rob a child of their innocence and leave them with memories they may want to forget.

“I just want to move on from it,” Aira admitted in one of her posts. “It’s not who I am anymore.”

Allison Lewis joined the Newsgems24 team in 2022, but she’s been a writer for as long as she can remember. Obsessed with using words and stories as a way to help others, and herself, feel less alone, she’s incorporated this interest into just about every facet of her professional and personal life. When she’s not writing, you’ll probably find her listening to Taylor Swift, enjoying an audiobook, or playing a video game quite badly.
